Tocopherol acetate (vitamin E)
Pharmacological properties:Vitamin E as a strong natural antioxidant inhibits lipid oxidation and resists the damage of intracellular structures by free radicals. As a result, it resists atherogenesis, reduces the intensity of sclerosing of blood vessel walls. The membrane-stabilizing properties of the drug improve the functional state of the cardiovascular and skeletal-muscular systems. Vitamin E participates in protein synthesis, cell proliferation, tissue respiration and other important processes of cell metabolism. Increases tissue stability in hypoxia conditions.
Indications:Hypovitaminosis E, muscular dystrophy, dermatomyositis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, menstrual cycle disorder, risk of pregnancy termination, gonadal dysfunction in men, dermatoses, psoriasis. The drug is widely used in geriatric practice.
